NEW BOOK READY FOR MARKET

         PUBLISHER WANTED

The latest publication written by the Author of "Wildflower" The Barbara Crawford Thompson Story is now ready for publication. The book "Arabella" is almost a reversal of the Thompson story with the heroine being of Australian aborigine and Afghan extract.

                                       ARABELLA
By
Raymond J Warren

SYNOPSIS
The true story of a baby born of an aboriginal mother and an Afghan shepherd during the latter half of the 19th century. A black baby taken in by a white farmer and his barren wife after the massacre of her tribe and family. Dearly loved by her foster parents who raised her in the style of the wealthy Europeans of the era, she was sent off to school in England where nothing could have been better until dramatic events changed her life forever.

This true story had its origins in a small town book that gave descriptions of European settlement and the clash of stone age and iron age cultures in Australia; one that dealt with the day to day altercations of two opposing peoples, although this work is a fiction based on fact. it describes the events that took place at the turn of the 19th century.

Many areas worldwide were to feel the terror and horror of man's inhumanity against man but none worse than that forced from birth unto death upon the stylish and aristocratic Arabella.

Wildflower: The Barbara Crawford Thompson StoryBarbara Thompson[nee Crawford] has been an enigma in Australian Colonial history due to the limited amount of information surrounding her mysterious stranding with wild natives at Cape York Australia. Her story was first told by three scientists who were aboard the ship HMS "Rattlesnake" that rescued her in October 1849, five years after she was shipwrecked on Prince of Wales [East] Island [Nurapai Island] in November 1844. She has long been called Mrs Barbara Thompson but was in fact never married to the man she called "husband". Her life story from birth to death [certified] is told in the new and magnificent history, Wildflower" The Barbara Crawford Thompson Story.
